Tools for working with content from social platforms: turning a tweet into a shareable image, or pulling the transcript out of a YouTube video.

Tweet to ImageTurn a post into a tidy, consistent graphic for a slide, a newsletter or another platformEither type the content yourself, with no account, or fetch a post from its link after an email sign-in.
YouTube TranscriptRead, search or quote what a video says as plain textA video URL, and a video that has captions.

What each tool sends to a server

Most of WebzTools runs entirely in your browser. These two are different, so it is worth knowing before you use them with anything sensitive.

Tweet to Image sends the post's address to a hosted function only when you fetch a post from a link. That route needs an email sign-in (no password is created) and currently includes one free generation per verified account. Typing the content in yourself needs no account and sends nothing.

YouTube Transcript sends the video URL to a hosted function, which retrieves the captions and returns them. The video itself is not downloaded to your device.

The privacy policy describes which tools send data and why.

Limits worth knowing

  • Tweet to Image cannot fetch private, protected or deleted posts, though you can still compose the card by hand. The image reproduces someone else's content, so attribution and permission rules still apply.
  • YouTube Transcript only works for videos that have captions. Private and age-restricted videos are unavailable, and automatically generated captions make mistakes with names, technical terms and accents, so proofread before quoting.

After you have the image or the text

  • A transcript is a block of text, so the Word Counter will tell you how long it is and the Case Converter can fix capitalization in a quote you pull from it.
  • The image from Tweet to Image downloads as a PNG, which the JPEG Compressor accepts if a platform has a file size limit.
